Helping individuals achieve their goals by helping them boost their mental wellbeing.
A word from
Mark Simmonds
I have been fortunate enough to enjoy a very rewarding career in the field of management training. I have been privileged to work with some of the world’s largest companies including Unilever, HSBC, Tesco, GSK, ABInBev, Virgin Media O2, Astra Zeneca and The Red Cross.
However, I have often experienced stress and anxiety in the workplace and this led to a severe, work-related breakdown in my late thirties. I have now made it my personal mission to use my lived experience to help individuals better manage their wellbeing and deal with stress so that they can achieve their ambitions.
I am also a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
Three books.
In 2019, I had my first book published, Breakdown and Repair, which told the story of my own struggles with stress, as well as my daughter’s battle with anorexia.
My second book, Beat Stress at Work, which came out in 2022, combines my own personal story with a strong self-help element and focuses on surviving and thriving in the workplace.
And in March 2025, I will be getting my third book published, How the Successful deal with the Stressful. This describes 25 wellbeing strategies used by 25 famous people from different walks of life, past and present.
Talks and workshops.
Using my lived experience of mental ill health and the training skills I have acquired during my career, I now deliver talks and workshops to both companies, schools and institutions who place a premium on mental wellbeing.
These events are designed and developed in close collaboration with the key stakeholders in the organisation. The sessions are always interactive with a strong call to action.
1:1 Stress Counselling.
In my effort to help individuals better deal with stress, I have been joined by my son, Jack, a qualified counsellor.
In particular, he enjoys working closely with the younger generations to help them achieve their goals without having to pay the price of mental ill health.
One of Jack’s areas of focus is the management of stress and anxiety in the workplace.
Spreading the word.
In order to help spread the mental health word, I post blogs weekly on LinkedIn.
I have also contributed articles to a number of national and international publications including Forbes, HR Magazine, The Huffington Post, The Independent and The Daily Telegraph.
I have appeared on national and local TV and Radio, including a two year stint as a guest contributor as ‘Mental Health Mark’ on BBC Radio Cambridge.
